HydraProxy has been operating in the proxy service field for about two years. Although it started later, it quickly gained user favor with its high-quality services and affordable prices. The company has a vast pool of proxies, including over five million real residential IPs, covering more than a hundred countries worldwide. However, HydraProxy currently only offers rotating residential proxies that support sticky sessions and does not yet provide static residential proxies.

Additionally, HydraProxy's mobile proxy services should not be overlooked, as they include over 200,000 US 4G rotating and static mobile proxies. While the rotating mobile proxies are limited to the United States, the static mobile proxies have a broader coverage. Flexible billing cycles and no monthly commitments make it popular among small marketers and individual users, and customers particularly praise its excellent service and customer support. Currently, global residential proxies only support the HTTP(S) protocol, but the company is planning to introduce SOCKS5 support.

HydraProxy speed review

When testing HydraProxy's residential proxies, we first used the well-known Ookla speed test tool to measure the internet speed without using any proxies, obtaining a baseline result. Although the internet speed at the test location was not ideal, it still provided a reference for subsequent proxy testing. Next, we tested the speed through HydraProxy's proxies using the same tool. The download speed performed quite well, fully meeting the needs of normal use. However, the upload speed was almost zero and occasionally displayed error messages. Despite this, there was no noticeable delay in uploading data during actual use, so this situation is more likely an exception.

HydraProxy strengths

No Monthly Commitment:

The flexible billing model offered by HydraProxy is one of its key highlights. Users are not tied to monthly subscription plans. If you only need a short-term proxy, such as for a day, you can purchase the service based on your actual needs without paying unnecessary fees for an entire month. This pay-as-you-go model is particularly suitable for temporary projects or short-term needs, significantly reducing user costs. Affordable Residential Proxies:

HydraProxy offers competitively priced residential proxies, with the lowest option being $5 for 1GB of data. This is very friendly for users with limited budgets and also provides a scalable solution for those who need to handle large volumes of proxy traffic. Its affordability and good performance make it an ideal choice for small businesses, freelancers, or individual users. HydraHeaders Feature:

HydraProxy provides a free tool called HydraHeaders, which supports multiple browsers and operating systems. This tool includes a multi-profile browser manager, allowing users to flexibly switch and manage multiple accounts in different browser environments. This greatly enhances efficiency and convenience for users who need to simulate multiple devices or users, especially those managing multiple accounts. Geolocation IPs:

With HydraProxy, users can choose geolocation IPs from over 100 countries worldwide. This means that no matter where you are, you can select an IP address from the target country through HydraProxy to meet regional business needs, bypass geographical restrictions, or perform market analysis in specific areas, ensuring precision and diversity in access. Rotating IP Feature:

HydraProxy offers a rotating IP feature, allowing users to automatically switch IPs with each HTTP request or set a fixed rotation every 30 minutes. This flexible IP rotation mechanism effectively reduces the risk of IP bans, making it particularly suitable for tasks requiring a large number of concurrent requests, such as data scraping, SEO, and ad verification, greatly enhancing the practicality and reliability of the proxies.

HydraProxy weaknesses

Limited Location Coverage:

Although HydraProxy's mobile proxy service is powerful, it is currently limited to the United States. This poses a significant limitation for users who need to use mobile proxies in other countries or regions. Particularly for globally operating businesses or users who need to perform tasks such as ad verification, social media management, and data scraping in multiple markets, the inability to obtain mobile IPs from other regions may reduce business flexibility and efficiency. Compared to residential proxies with global coverage, the lack of mobile proxy coverage means that users may need to seek other service providers to supplement this deficiency when conducting tests or tasks in specific markets. This geographical limitation can be inconvenient for users who aim to reach international markets through mobile IPs, especially in an increasingly globalized digital environment where global coverage is crucial.

HydraProxy review FAQ

Location: IP addresses available in over 100 countries worldwide (including the United States, Canada, various European countries, Russia, India, Brazil, Malaysia, etc.). Geolocation: Random or country-specific filtering (users can choose a specific country, and all IP addresses will be allocated from that country, with no limit on the number of country changes). Mobile Proxies: Support HTTPS and SOCKS protocols.

Residential Proxies: Support only HTTP/HTTPS protocols.

Currently, HydraProxy does not offer static residential or mobile IPs. Their network supports extended sticky IP sessions, and research has shown that this setup is suitable for most online tasks.
